Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!

*insert eerie music here* You are alone at a website that appears to be abandoned...there is a muffled gurgling noise in the distance....

Oh wait. That's just my coffee maker. So...I really don't know if anyone visits this little experiment anymore. If you do, enjoy what it is in all of it's glorious flaws and bizarre amusements. My life has changed quite a bit. I have gone from full time work for a pay check, to full time work for an education. Really, I couldn't be happier. The downside for anyone who may have enjoyed my rambling rambleness: I haven't the free time to devote to my fraken-site. I might move back in in the future. For the time being, you can catch my rambling rambleness on Stumble Upon. You'll still find hails to the lighter fare there, but be prepared for the mish-mosh of the many things that interest me. Some are personal posts, some deal with political issues that get me riled, art, whatever strikes my fancy while I wander the modern wild west, connected by a "series of tubes." (Going there will only show you images related to my posts. You can see what I've written by clicking an icon of little tiles. Grrr...defualt view!)

Until we meet again...

My career goals have changed a bit and this may give you some insight about why...

I'm not going to be able to update this site for awhile; my current work/college schedule is making it difficult! Apologies to any regular visitors...

As my next semester of college begins, it's highly likely I'll start to slack (as I did last week) around here. Yeah, yeah I need to clean up this page, but I'm to lazy to do that just yet. Instead, I give you a video that involves a juggler and a pigeon...

I keep talking to my friends about Derren Brown. He uses pyscological tricks, illusion, and magic to carry out amazing feats. First a short video below to give you a taste (below) and then a full program The Hiest, in which he uses condtioning to make some middle management people rob a securtiy gaurd hauling money.

Hilarious video about a kid who decides to run away from home....

This is one of the cutest animations I've come across in a long while

'Tis the seasons for me to be busy, so I've been slacking around here! In the meantime, enjoy these odd dog videos...

Once upon a time, in the early to mid eighties, my firends and I stalked about in all black, with crazy hair, and skin unmarred by the sun. In that era of pastel, just the act of wearing black was shocking and we had to scour the thrift stores and shops to even *find* our clothing.. We got a lot of, "where's the funeral?" comments. For whatever mysterious reason, the locals called us "cornchips"--my guess is it was the crunchy hair-sprayed hair--but we had no offical label for ourselves. Most of us were somewhere in the realm of goth or rivetheads by today's definitions. Some still look the part, while others have chosen to dress almost normal, though virtually all retain some smidgen of unique style.
When I see the Emo kiddies today, they make me smile and think, "you're not shocking me at all, with your mall-bought dark wear." As for the emotional side of it...maybe it's just me, but isn't being a teen rather emotionally turmotulous? In any case, I'm not really judging such youth, so much as I am thinking that people are making too much of it. The videos are still funny though. :P

If you're a regular Youtuber you may already have seen these.

Sorry to dissapoint, but the past week was a hectic! You may have spied this one on Youtube already...

Even though a link to my favorite radio show, This American Life, is already posted within these pages, I feel complelled to bring it up on the link of the week! Why? Because, in addition to the radio version, there is also a wonderful visual program on Showtime. I bought the entire season on iTunes last night and it was so good, Angel and I watched them all! Wondering what TAL is before you go clicking away? Hmmmm...it's really hard to describe it and do it justice. Each show has a theme arranged in a series of "acts." These acts are the real stories of a wide variety of people. You may laugh, you may cry--maybe both--but you'll be fascinated by them all the same. You can listen to free podcasts from the TAL website; here's a link to the staff favorites to get you started. I'm posting 2 trailers of my favorite TV episopes below, but you can
see one episode for free at the Showtime site.

A short piece on the history of one drum sample in music, it's sweeping impact, and the legal questions tied to its use. Also, a child prodigy in the 80's Jacob Armen. Check out Jacob's website for the amazing history of his career and what he's up to these days at his website!

Lida recently discovered the Fat Boy Slim video starring Christopher Walken dancing. I had already seen it, but was amused enough to re-watch it. After poking around on the net, I learned he was trained as a dancer, before taking up acting. In any case, I'm posting that video here, because it's fun to revisit. As a bonus, I'm adding Walken reading The Three Little Pigs.

Every so often, I simply have to watch Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny (featured here on the Meme's page) and that had me wondering what other fun Lemon Demon songs have been made into videos. Well, I found one I really like, Word Disassociation. The latter was very entertaining, so I hunted down more from one of the makers. Here are two Favs from YouTube...

A very silly video: Bananas vs CatsPolysics- Ah Yeah!

Hey...I'm sorry, I just can't join another wiki....but this one's next on the proverbial list. If you geeks want to check out something totally geeky, come and peruse my Fantasy maps on www.mapiwiki.wetpant.com. You don't have to join or anything, I just wanted to show off my maps...the ones that have drained many, many hours from my life. Hopefully, some of you will check it out...if not...oh well. It's new and somewhat un-full...but it's getting there.

Yasue Crazy Frog..... 5 Feb 2 2007, 12:26 PM EST by baseman

About a year ago (maybe 2?) my nephew kept talking about "That new song by Crazy Frog!" Every time I saw him, he'd talk about how cool the song was. I had asked what is was like, but he was always at a loss to describe it. Finally the holidays came 'round & I was at his home. He immediately went to his PC & looked for the video. 2 notes in, his "old" aunt said, "Oh that's Axel F." The look of surprise on his face-that I knew the song title-was priceless. He asked me how I knew the song. I told him, "That's a remix. The original song was a hit when I was...oh, about your age!"

Angel & I were discussing this phenomenon recently. I pointed out that Axel F was a meme in it's day. A meme reborn into an accidental meme that has become an ongoing meme for 10 years. Funny how that happens!
